GOOD® DESIGN keeps as little as it can. No ads, no tracking, no selling anything to anyone. Here is everything we store, why, and how to get rid of it. Last updated 9 October 2026.
Without an account
THE MAKER works entirely in your browser. A skin you upload or fetch by username is put together on your device and never stored by us. To fetch a skin by username we ask Mojang for it, which shares that username with Mojang.
If you post a comment on STUDY® without signing in, we keep the name you type (optional), the comment and the date.
With a GOOD® account
- Email address. Only to send you sign-in links. We never send anything else, and we don't share it.
- Your GOOD® name. Shown on your STUDY® comments.
- Home skin. The skin image you save, so THE MAKER can load it for you.
- Wardrobe. The fits you save, stored as a list of piece names, not pictures.
- GOOD® COINS. Your balance and which day you last earned them.
- Comments. What you post on STUDY®, with your GOOD® name and the date.
Cookies
One cookie, only when you sign in: it keeps you signed in for 30 days. It can't be read by the page's scripts and isn't used for anything else. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Abuse protection
To stop spam, we briefly count requests per connection. The IP address is scrambled (hashed) and the count disappears after a minute.
Who helps us run it
- Vercel hosts the site and may keep standard server logs.
- Upstash stores accounts, wardrobes and comments.
- Resend delivers the sign-in emails.
- Mojang supplies skins when you look one up by username.
How long we keep it
Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. Sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out. Everything else stays until you delete your account.
Deleting it
Go to your ACCOUNT page and press DELETE ACCOUNT. Your email, name, home skin, wardrobe and GOOD® COINS are removed straight away. Comments you've already posted stay up under your name; to have them taken down, ask us.
Younger players
If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before making an account. Parents can ask us to delete a child's account at any time.
